Squamous cell carcinoma appears on the outer layer of skin. It appears as a lesion on the skin, commonly on the nose, ears, hands, lips, and other parts of the body that are frequently in the sun. You’re twice as likely to get this form of skin cancer if you’re a man. Your risk also increases if you have had another form of skin cancer previously.
