Need a Massage? Try This Instead

When your muscles get tight it can be very painful. Before you go to sleep in pain, or spend hundreds of dollars on a massage, try loosening up with tennis balls. While foam rolling is helpful and good for you, it can’t always get into the tight knots that intense workouts can bring. Grab a couple of tennis balls, lie on your back and place the tennis balls in the sore spot. Roll around slowly, in a small circular motion. You can do this for your neck also. Try it on your legs. Sitting up, carefully place the tennis ball under your sore leg or glute muscles and apply your weight. Be careful not to apply too much pressure, but just enough to loosen up your tight spots.
